About Mààlú Tallow Co.
Heyyy! My name is Dola, and I am a recovered skin care product junkie.
What have I not done for the sake of clear skin? I think I am well-versed in that department, having tried everything from over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide to harsh chemical peels to every home-made recipe from blogs that promised clear skin to enduring painful and expensive Fraxel Laser treatments and the last straw that broke the camel’s back…Accutane. I. HAVE. TRIED. THEM. ALL. They were all costly, emotionally exhausting, and sometimes painful with no long-lasting result.
It wasn’t until after the birth of my first child, (motherhood…I tell you, changes perspectives) that I began scouring the internet for a sustainable and practical yet effective approach to my skincare. In my aggressive search, I stumbled upon the idea of healing my skin with whole, natural, and nourishing real foods. I began reading books and researching then incorporating my new learnings to my diet and lifestyle. In this phase, I learned that our skin, being the largest organ, tells the story of our internal health. Our skin absorbs whatever we feed it, which for better or worse, impacts our overall health. It was then I began to tinker with the idea of nourishing and healing my skin with Beef Tallow and my life has ever been changed...
So, with ALL my heart + arms wide open, I welcome you to my virtual shop where you’ll experience through my purpose-driven handmade products all that I’ve learned and continue to learn about nourishing skin foods, natural and organic living, and wholeness of the Spirit, Soul, and Body. I want you to know that every ingredient has been well-researched, purposefully synergized and tested to optimize healing.
As a Holistic Nutritionist, Community Herbalist and Botanical Perfumer, I not only create from experience but also from a never-ending well of deep knowledge. I am humbled and grateful that you are here, and excited to have you try our products.
